"Peter's" Chardonnay
Eden Valley

One of the first wines we made was a Chardonnay. It turned out to be such a distinctive wine, Peter was adamant that we should produce a chardonnay. Hence it is called 'Peter's'.
The grapes used to produce this wine were from a single vineyard with loamy sand topsoil over a brown clay and located on the Riley property.  Vines are hand pruned to control yield thus ensuring quality grapes.

This elegant wine has tropical fruit, melons and white nectarine in the bouquet.  The palate starts with tropical fruit salad and nectarines which moves to peach and melon flavors in the mid palate with subtle oak in support.  The finish is soft and rich completing this fresh, nicely balanced wine.

"Reserve" Chardonnay
Eden Valley

One of the first wines we made was a Chardonnay. Now, many Chardonnay’s later we have created a wine that we felt was a culmination of years of hard work and refinement: the first vintage of our “Reserve” Chardonnay.
The grapes used to produce this wine were from a single vineyard with loamy sand topsoil over a brown clay located on the Riley property. Vines are hand pruned to control yield, thus ensuring high quality grapes.

A subtle oak character was developed using the two barrels: the French Oak imparting elegance and finesse, while the Hungarian Oak added the ‘Spices of Zanzibar’ to the tropical fruit salad and nectarines. These characteristics develop to  peach and melon flavours in the mid-palate.  The wine will bottle age well and is ideal to share with friends.
